Appointment preparation

A simple visit starts with a prepared tap.

Use these steps before the technician arrives. Final preparation instructions may vary by package and laboratory method.

Before the visit

Keep the selected tap accessible

  • Clear the sink and surrounding work area.
  • Keep pets safely separated.
  • Make sure an adult age 18 or older is present.
  • Provide gate, parking, and access instructions.
Do not improvise

Follow package-specific instructions

Some samples require flushing; others may require a first-draw sample or special PFAS precautions. Do not run the tap, remove an aerator, disinfect a well, or change treatment settings unless Auraven specifically instructs you to do so.
