Straight answers before you book.
These answers explain the testing process, package selection, appointments, reports, PFAS options, and what Auraven can—and cannot—conclude.
Which package should I choose?
City packages are designed for municipal-water homes. Well packages include private-well priorities such as bacteria and additional source chemistry. PFAS packages are separate targeted analyses and are available to book. PFAS collection appointments require at least 7 days advance scheduling and are available Monday through Wednesday.
What is the difference between the three PFAS tests?
The 18-analyte package uses EPA 537.1, the 25-analyte GenX + PFAS package uses EPA 533, and the 40-analyte package uses EPA 1633. They differ in analyte coverage, method design, and reporting limits. More analytes does not automatically mean the best choice for every homeowner.
Who collects the sample?
An Auraven field representative follows the collection instructions for the selected package. The independent laboratory performs the analysis.
What is included in the package price?
Every Auraven testing package includes the in-home visit, professional sample collection, independent laboratory analysis, shipping or courier delivery, and the complete Auraven Water Profile. There are no separate laboratory, collection, or shipping fees. Applicable taxes are added at checkout and are not included in the listed package price.
How will I receive my results?
Your completed results and Auraven Water Profile will be delivered in two ways: by email and through your secure customer portal. The portal keeps your report, appointment details, and future retesting history together in one place.
Is Auraven Labs insured?
Yes. Auraven Labs is insured. Auraven Labs is the customer-facing brand operated by Auraven Labs LLC.
How long will results take?
Estimated results are 7–8 business days for City Basic and City Advanced and 6–7 business days for Well Basic and Well Complete. Current estimated timelines are 12–13 business days for the 18-analyte PFAS Water Test, 14–15 business days for the GenX + PFAS Water Test, and 17–18 business days for the EPA 1633 PFAS Water Test. PFAS collection appointments require at least 7 days advance scheduling and are available Monday through Wednesday. Estimates begin on the appointment date and include return shipping, laboratory analysis, and Auraven report preparation.
Does an Auraven grade mean my water is guaranteed safe?
No. The grade summarizes the tested panel and sample. It is not a guarantee, medical diagnosis, government certification, or statement about contaminants that were not tested.
What happens if a serious result is found?
Auraven’s production process should require human review and direct notification for designated priority findings. See the Serious Result Process page for the planned response framework.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, subject to the published cancellation and refund policy and any laboratory or collection costs already incurred.
