In-home service

Sample Collection Terms

These terms explain appointment preparation, access, and sample-handling expectations.

Draft for professional review: This page is starter website language and should be reviewed by a South Carolina attorney before public launch.

Before the visit

  • Confirm the property address, water source, selected package, and sampling objective.
  • Keep the intended faucet or sampling point accessible.
  • Follow any instructions about removing aerators, avoiding treatment bypass changes, or limiting prior water use.
  • Tell Auraven about gates, pets, parking restrictions, construction, or other access concerns.

Arrival window

The selected two-hour window is the technician’s arrival range, not the expected length of the collection. Delays may occur because of traffic, weather, safety, or earlier appointments.

Adult presence and property access

An adult age 18 or older must be present unless Auraven has approved another written access arrangement. The technician may decline service when conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, inaccessible, or outside the agreed scope.

Sampling point and method

The technician will document the sampling point and follow the applicable laboratory container, preservation, method, and handling instructions. Some objectives may require first-draw, flushed, untreated, outdoor, or other specific sampling conditions.

Chain of custody and laboratory handling

Auraven will identify the sample and coordinate delivery to the selected independent laboratory. Laboratory acceptance, holding times, analytical methods, reporting limits, and qualifiers may affect the final report.

Property condition

Water sampling is not a plumbing inspection. Auraven should be informed before collection about known leaks, fragile fixtures, treatment equipment, low pressure, or damaged plumbing.
